Project:
Cricket Goes Over the Top
We were tasked with starting Cricket Wireless’ 2022 with a bang—bigger, funnier, wilder. Which is to say, we were asked to have a lot of fun. The Q1 campaign that followed shows the Cricket characters in their element, showing customers the absurd power of 5G, every wonderfully cuddly thing you can capture with your free phone when you switch, and just how much is bundled into every $60 unlimited plan (hint: it’s bundle-ievable).

Cricket-Tok
When Cricket dove into TikTok, we dove in head first. The rules: stay loose, stay native, be surprising, fast, and fun. I led several s different Cricket TikTok work streams with my good pal Sean Grimes, guiding our teams as we created different series of posts—all produced with ARGONAUT’s in-house production wing, AVALON. We were able to streamline production, create and maintain a nimble team, and champion our creative teams to create new and surprising content—which have exceeded most of Cricket’s TikTok testing benchmarks.
Series: Cricket Arcade
Oh hello, nostalgia, is that you? To breakthrough on gaming TikTok we took our Cricket characters and put them into classic arcade game scenarios. We teamed up with designer and pixel artist Phillip Cheaney to craft two of these pieces pixel by pixel, while art director Bryce Chan created custom illustrations for 5G Grand Prix.
Series: Cricket Multiverse
What makes a multiverse? As far as I can tell, you just chuck your characters into completely genres and see what happens. Using a ridiculous, lo-fi animation technique (literally screen recording Adobe moves and transforms); a 2D art style; and a monotonous, TikTok-y VO, our creative teams came up with this infinitely extendable series of videos.

Action!
Once upon a time, Cricket's characters lived in their own behind-the-scenes world. In this self-referential campaign we caught up with our cast getting into trouble behind the scenes of a Cricket commercial shoot (which the world would never see), all while cleverly slipping in a few wordy offer lines. Then we had too much fun building out our little world on social and pre-roll.
